Description
I am obsessed with Australian clay in soap! This was our first foray using two different types of clay in one soap. The pour technique was simple (basically the green down first then the pink) and we liked the rustic, uncomplicated effect. This bar is chock full of great ingredients! The combination of oils we used resulted in a luxurious, lavender-scented soap with a wonderful smooth creamy feel in the hand and on the face. It’s equally nice as a shower soap!
• Lavender essential oil is good for almost every skin type.
• Tomato seed oil has a high antioxidant content.
• Cocoa butter is thought to reduce skin dryness and increase skin elasticity.
• Australian green clay is thought to be strengthening and detoxifying; also good for oily skin.
• Australian pink clay is good for sensitive skin; thought to improve overall texture of the skin.
Clay may stain light colored fabrics. Having said that, I use a light wash cloth with this soap and the clay rinses right out. (I can’t say if this is a typical result, just wanted to include my own experiences.) Clay coloring may cling to tub and shower film.
Note: For external use only. Pregnant women should consult their physician regarding products that contain essential oils.
